Late October Honeymoon Ideas? Preferably beach but open to other ideas...

Meghan, on April 2, 2015 at 2:52 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9

We'd love to go somewhere tropical but also affordable! Our budget is roughly $3000 including flights, hotel, food, etc. We want to relax but also have some fun, potentially swim with dolphins if at all possible (I'd be willing to go over budget for that). Anyone know of a place to stay with a jacuzzi in the room? Thanks!!!

Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun costed FH and I $3078 including the flights and transportation to and from the resort! Definitely check it out. You won't be getting the Jacuzzi room or anything like that, but the rooms are still beautiful. Excursions and day trips will be add ons and not included in the price.

Edited: We're getting married October 17 and going on the 19th. Time of year definitely affects the price!

Cancun/Riviera Maya has literally dozens of all-inclusive resorts that will cost you less than $3k including airfare, and there are several places there to swim with dolphins.

We stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya in Riviera Maya and LOVED it! All inclusive for under $3,000 including flights. Worth every penny!

We are going to Barbados staying at the Crane. We were told since it's hurricane season that Barbados was best since it's below the hurricane belt also its one of the safest islands.

Our budget was $3500. We are going to Ocho Rios Sandals in Jamaica. We came in under budget for 6 nights with flights. Smiley smile

Aruba's a good October destination because it's outside of the hurricane belt and I believe it may be right in your budget.

Woo hoo honeymoon talk! We are in this phase now. After months of deliberations we have determined that Aruba, Curacua (Sp???) and some other tiny island right near these two AND Mexico were the best places to avoid hurricanes, and they are past or just getting past their rainy seasons. We are definitely getting travel insurance. Our agent told us that with the insurance, if we know a hurricane is in the vicinity of our chosen destination, we can have a 2nd choice pick to go around the hurricane!! The travel agency will direct us accordingly in such a situation. Sooooo exciting. OH! Also Barbados is past the hurricane belt, southern, almost in South America. It is a a bit far to travel to and FH and I wanted to minimize travel, we don't want to spend an entire day traveling. We are from Boston. So, Mexico (Cozumel) made most sense for us. It is beachy and tropical. That's what we want. If we lived closer to Hawaii, we would have went there!! In the beginning, FH said to pick any where in the world for a honeymoon. He would have travelled anywhere. He wanted to go to Europe. In the end we both agreed we had never been anywhere tropical and that's how we decided. We will go to Europe on one of our big anniversaries. Our honeymoon budget is a little more than yours ... $5,000, but hoping to find deals in the $4,000's. We are also wanting the best rooms, with ocean front balconies. All inclusive resorts. Top shelf everything. You could certainly get deals for your budget.

I just realized that some of us will be in the same places around the same times for our honeymoon. That would be cool if we were close enough to meet up! At this point, FH and I are going next Monday to book our honeymoon and we are pretty set on Cozumel.
