Happy Hump Day everyone!

FH and I are really excited to add late night snacks to the menu and are thinking of having them served/brought out around 9 pm.

The ceremony will be at 4:30, dinner will be about 6:40 and due to sound restrictions the music stops at 10:45 but we can move the party inside if we'd like.

My question is should we plan for everyone to stay (around 160 people) to have enough food or is there a way for us to estimate a different number? I want to make sure everyone that wants food, gets some, but I don't want to run out or have too much.

Thank you!

(The picture is a possible contender of chicken and crepe "waffles" with Sriracha maple syrup Smiley laugh)

@Faith oh ok. You're photo made it look like it was an hors d'oeuvres portion. I gotcha!

@Angela, is it one sausage per person?

@Dreamer, I didn't really think about that, I could eat anything at anytime if I'm hungry but we'll have to think of a healthier option along with a super unhealthy option Smiley tongue.

@Chelsea, for the tastings they aren't normal portions because we were eating so many things all at once. Salad, 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 sides, plus the late night snack. It was a lot!

Plan for everyone to stay. It's always better to be prepared. We are doing a late night s'mores fire-pit "finale" after our reception and we estimated 100% attendance, just in case.

@Kate, I thought of that too. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to doing that. Or taking some up to our room for a before bed snack if we are hungry.

Yes, 1 sausage on a roll with peppers and onions per person

I would ask your caterer. They tend to know how to estimate that type of stuff.

My best friend had a late night snack at her wedding, but they brought it out around 10:30. If you are going to go this route, make sure your DJ announces when the food is brought out and where it is located. No one knew that food had been put out, so a lot ended up getting thrown out. I was in the bridal party, knew they were having a late night snack, and never had any because I never saw it.

Also, since you're serving dinner at 6:40, figure everyone will be done eating around 8:00. 9:00 seems a little soon for another meal to be served. I'd suggest either having it closer to the end time so people can take it on their way out, or have it indoors for those who choose to extend the party inside.
