Just sharing a happy outcome! I was still working on getting the bakery situated and limo service. I thought the limo was handled yesterday, but, long story short, the transaction processed for $0 (the deposit was supposed to be $100), so I started the day with a cancellation notice and freaking out!
The limo service was super awesome (anyone in the Cincinnati, OH area, Motor Toys is reasonable priced, works with splitting up payments so you don't have to put the whole amount down, and their customer service folks are terrific) and they helped me get it handled without actually cancelling my booking, so all is well there.
The cake was the last item on my vendor to-do list. We had a tasting in April of 2019 (original wedding date was 1/18/20), and they still had the flavor profile we selected and our old contract on hand. We've since decided we want a custom cake order. In case you all didn't know, a "topsy turvy" cake requires a larger base and middle tier, so you go from 70ish servings in a standard 6/8/10 to 125 servings
We're getting exactly what we asked for, and they're delivering it to the venue on a Sunday which is also a holiday. One less thing for me to worry about since anything over 2 tiers can't be boxed! Anyway, try to imagine this. The 1st pic is the general look of the cake, but the top tier is going to be scrolls (see 2nd pic, but it will be angled, like the top pic) and the flowers will be the dark red alstroemeria that are in the bouquets and boutonnieres.
I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!
