Last Month Beauty Routine?

We have 1 month left! We just started our "clean" eating diet and are both continuing our workout routines. I'm getting botox & extractions next week, and dermaplanning/O2 facial/lash lift & tint exactly 1 week prior. I'm starting at home teeth whitening 2 weeks prior. Here are my questions:...

Here are my questions:

1. I'm bed tanning (I know, not good for me). How soon do I start? Do I start now and go for very short periods and build a steady/slow tan? Do I go 2 weeks prior every day? I've tanned before, so I know I won't burn in level 2 beds for 8 minutes or less. I have tanning lotion & eye protection & nail protection.

2. I have body, face & lip exfoliants. I know they all work and don't cause reactions on my skin. My question is, how often do I use them? Weekly? Not until the week of the wedding? Daily?

3. Is a professional body scrub worth it?

4. I never get pedicures, I just get my fake claws done every 3 weeks. Has anyone done shellac pedicures? Are there other options besides traditional polish & shellac? Will I be okay getting those done the Thursday before our Saturday wedding along with my fake nails?

5. Do I really need to cut out dairy, salt, sugar & bread? I read that for the final week to prevent bloating. How important is that to do?

6. Waxing. I realize if I want to wax prior, I need to start growing out all my hair now (and it still may not be long enough 3.5 weeks from now). Is waxing really THAT much better than shaving? I've gotten a brazilian & underarm wax and I'm not sure if the pain is worth it again, or if I even have enough time for the hair to grow to wax length.

I have a Neutrogena hydrating moisturizer which I love and I don't react to, I'll check the other products you recommended out. Thank you so much!

Hey , Also getting married July 20th ( didn't realize its only 3.5 weeks away Smiley surprise) .

Depending on the construction of your dress , bloat from dairy may or not be a problem ( I would think if your dress has a corset style back you may be ok . ) I exfoliate once a week and use a moisturizer with spf in it( protecting new skin is a must ) .I would try not to over do it especially with you using the tanning bed . And Shellac the same day you receive your acrylics should be fine ( maybe wear some cute fuzzy socks until the day of just in case to protect from chipping )

    Congrats!!

My dress has a TON of boning, I made sure I'm NOT coming out of that thing!!! Moisturize after I exfoliate in the shower? Good point about the tanning & exfoliating, I didn't think of that. And I love the sock tip, SO smart!

Lol I hear you , these wedding dresses are like torture devices aren't they lol . But yes , moisturizing after the shower or even during if you want (they make in shower creams if that's more convenient for you ) helps seal in all the moisture that keeps you from having the dry skin and having to exfoliate too often . And I learned the sock trick after having a shellac set chip 2 days after having it done . I Was not happy lol .

    Hey girl!

Sounds like you have a lot covered. I am going to do similar things in the same schedule. I opted for an airbrush tan, because I am so fair that tanning beds just lead to burns. But I think going for short consistent visits is the best (and safest) way to get results. Just moisturize in between. I have a skin condition and the airbrush tan kind of lessens the extreme contrast of my scars, as well as sugar scrubs do.

Professional body scrubs ARE WORTH IT! I am getting one, they make you feel like a goddess with newborn skin.

Shellac on your toes is ok, are you wearing open toed shoes? I would go for gel, or finding a place that will do SNS dip powder. Be careful cutting too much out, you down want to shrink down so much that your dress doesn't fit right. I plan to taper, but I started two weeks ago so my process is very slow. At this point, cut out the sugar, lower the carbs and majorly increase your water intake.

Finally, waxing is definitely a personal preference. I hate it, but I get horrible razor burn so it's necessary. I plan on that appointment on the Thursday before, as well as my airbrush tan. It helps if you do it consistently, and then your skin gets used to the feeling (aka the pain).

Our weddings are a day apart! Good luck with all your prep!!

    Good luck to you too!

I scheduled a sugar scrub! I'm excited, I've never had one. I'll do it the Sunday before the wedding (the day after my facial, lash lift, and dermaplanning).

I'm wearing cowboy boots but we are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon so I'm sure my toes will be out a lot. Can you do dip powder on your toes? And I thought shellac was just a brand of gel, so getting shellac is the same as getting gel?

I'm doing a fitting July 14, so they do last minute alterations then if I need it! Then I just have to stay consistent the week of.

Yay sugar scrub! Shellac is nearly the same as gel, however, it is slightly thinner and doesn't last as long. The main difference between gel and Shellac polish is the formula. Gelish is a gel form of polish whereas Shellac is actually a form of permanent nail polish, like a thinner acrylic paste. Gel tends to be better for people with more fragile nails. It is true that gel takes longer to remove and does not give your nails as much room to breathe, but it is more likely to withstand that great Hawaiian sand. The difference can be very subjective, everyone has different nails and experiences with polishes. You can absolutely get an SNS pedicure, but your toe nails need to be long enough to not need tips. Otherwise shaping them is a pain in the booty. I got a super cute SNS french pedicure, and it lasted nearly a month!

Doing your final fitting one week before is smart. Mine is two weeks before, and I desperately want more time to lose weight!

That makes sense! Thank you for the explanation! I think I'll skip SNS but gel or shellac are great options for me. Normal toenail polish stays on pretty well anyway! Good luck with your weight loss!

Honestly more people than think they are are lactose intolerant or have some level of reaction to milk, so I wonder if that may be why that’s said

I’ve found that regular polish lasts waaaay longer on toes than on fingernails, so I’ll just do that for toenails, and dip for fingernails.
