Last minute honeymoon ideas

Chasity, on April 9, 2020 at 8:47 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
So FH and I had to postpone our May wedding until August because of COVID-19. We also had to cancel our ten day honeymoon cruise but we did get our money back so instead of a cruise we were thinking of going somewhere in Florida. Open to ideas...we’ve considered a resort or a very nice air bnb on a beach somewhere. 🤔

We did Disney, and it was just as wonderful as you'd expect.

If you stay on property, everything is taken care of, you do get special perks if you tell them it's your honeymoon (like, say... free desserts!), and it's just plain fun.

Make sure to pop over to Universal for Harry Potter reasons.

If you want to visit Florida for a honeymoon I definitely recommend somewhere on the west coast! it tends to be a lot more relaxing and the beaches are nicer, I would check out Naples. You can also try the Keys if island sports are your kinda thing. Theres also St. Augstine for historical purposes. There's a lot to do in Florida it just depends on what you're looking for!

I was just looking at places to go for our honeymoon as well. Here's an article I was reading: https://www.mydomaine.com/affordable-honeymoons?utm_source=aka-pinterest&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=aka-md95

Florida is a great location and by August you should be OK. I personally like Tampa, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Miami. So if you stay in Orlando -Tampa is 45-1 hr drive one way and Daytona is same the other way. Miami is a 3-4 hour drive but you guys can do a day/overnight trip there.

    Hi Chasity,

I'm a native Floridian--born and raised--so I'm pretty biased in my love for Florida. Smiley heart For beaches, I agree with Brittany: The west coast is the best coast. The Gulf of Mexico is much warmer than the Atlantic Ocean. (I'm a wimp when it comes to cold water. #spoiled)

Here's a link to more info on Florida Honeymoons!

    Enjoy your trip!
