So my FH and I were supposed to get married tomorrow. Because of the pandemic we decided to push it to next saturday 5/16 & have a small ceremony with 10 people and reception; the ceremony will be officiated by an ordained minister at her outdoor garden that she specifically has for weddings, vow renewals, baby blessings etc. The reception at our apartment. We texted family to let them know what we are doing and my FH texted back "wish you the best of luck, it would have been nice if you had waited so we could be there " and his grandpa texted back "wow I'm shocked, thought you would have waited until restrictions are lifted".

This is the wedding that we want; simple and budget friendly. It makes us happy. It is frustrating that family cant be happy for us.

Yeah! Cant stop things. This virus leaves so many things uncertain and its stressful to even try to plan for something in the future when we dont know what's going on

I hear ya. My husband and I have been trying for a baby since we got married and my mom and grandmother have told me numerous times that getting pregnant right now wouldn't be a good idea. But like you, we don't want to put our lives on hold until this is over because we have no idea when that will actually be.

If you haven’t done so, you could invite them to join via zoom.

I am planning my wedding with no guests. Even without covid. I am okay we with family and close friends, but I just want to be as private as I could. I am going to use zoom for close family members and my besties, because they beg me to do it. I think it’s fair enough
