KWR: what is "snappy casual" dress code?

Never heard of this in my life..

Lol this sounds like its meant to be a fun term. Like "creative black tie." I would wear a summer dress and call it a day.

Yeah, it is basically trying to sound fun by saying don't look like a slob but don't wear a suit. Agree that summer dress is the way to go. skirt/top or nice pants and a shirt are fine too

It is in between a casual and professional dress code and has an edge to the overall look." So, a dress? Why can't dress codes be easier, lol?

Is this like casual, but don't wear sweatpants? Maybe they mean casual but don't look like a slob. Lol I have no idea. If you're going to have dress code requirements, at least communicate them in plain English!

The term snappy casual has been around forever. It means casual, but trendy.

Why does an engagement party need a dress code?

Jeanne that's what I picture too! And my brother dresses exactly like that for Frat events so that's why I made that comment.

I've heard of smart casual but never "snappy" casual. I dislike imaginary dress codes.
