Krispy Kreme favors

Meagan, on March 7, 2013 at 5:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 20

So i saw this idea on an old post on here and fell in love with the idea. I knew I wanted something edible that didnt cost an arm and leg ( looked at carmel apples- $8 each- no way). I was searching and saw someone had the idea to get the two pack Krispy Kreme donuts one donut will be glazed and one donut will be chocolate. Only $1.79 per pack and therefore each couple can share a box. My only thing is, I want something to put on it to personalize it a little. Like maybe tie a ribbon or a sticker or something. We will not be able to pick them up until the day before because I want them to be fresh. Does anyone have any ideas?

Put a sticker on top with a nice little note or saying?

1st idea, let me know what time I should be there. I LOVE Krispy Kreme

2nd idea, you can either purchase/DIY some cute labels. And ribbon is always cheap. Stickers would probably be easier/faster since you wouldn't have to tie each ribbon.

Mmmm... your guests are going to love you! Haha...I think a little thank you note and/or sticker will suffice. They will probably just glance at it once, smile, and gobble gobble! And since you are trying to keep the cost down, I would just do something basic.

I'll go ahead and PM you my address. When can I expect an invite?

No but seriously, great idea! I wouldn't put too much thought/money into personalizing it, most will probably be happily scarfed down in 2 minutes.

Thanks girls I actually love the idea of the thank you note on them. Maybe I can make a label that we can write our thank yous on. I like that better then just putting the thank yous on the table since we are doing a buffet and this way they would be sure to see them! Glad you guys like my idea just reasurres me that spending a little more on the donuts will at the least be yummy and probably memorable. Smiley smile

You can do the free VP business cards to make the thank you note. Or free postcards, if the box is bigger.

YummmMMMYYY!! Great idea. I LOVE love love Krispy Kreme.

If you decide to use the business card type pre-printed thank you note cards you could pre-punch the hole and have the ribbon already tied to the tags,,,so on the day of just tie each around the box....or pre-printed stickers...those are about the easiest, fastest way of doing it with little cost.

Another way, if you want to spend a few more dollars...most craft stores have 3 dementional stickers (butterflies, flowers, hearts, etc.) and really nice looking flat stickers ..you could use those to stick on the business cards by placing the sticker on the corner edge..half on the card, half on the box to stick the cards onto the boxes...the cards could be square in the center of the box with the decal in the corner...or decal in the center of the box with the card angled so it hangs over the edge....just a thought if you wanted something a little more decorative than just the sticker or card alone.

Get free address labels from vp and design it. We're getting some cupcake containers for those that want to bring them home and putting a sticker with our names and date.

Personalized labels with a thank you message are quick and easy. If you don't want to DIY, let me know if I can help out... ********@************.***

I am actually doing this all you have to do is call a krispy kreme thats closest to you. They give you the prices & tell you when to call in the order based on your date.

I am thinking about doing this! Love this idea! @hope How early did you buy them. Can I buy them on the Saturday before my wedding or do I need to wait until the actual Saturday. The krispy Kreme is not close by so doing it on the wedding day might be a little difficult.

I believe the lady said just call the order in a week before and you designate a pickup date. I dont remember exactly how long before you can do it, but she gave the impression that it wasnt a night before deal. Ive done candy orders before with other places and theyve always been a 2-3 day before deal. When the wedding gets closer and i place the order i will repost. I live in NY and will either get them in the city or NJ depending on which location is closer. My wedding is a Saturday so i am anticipating doing this on a Wednesday/Thursday and delivering them to the hall on Thursday. If it can be ready any sooner than that of course earlier. I will keep you posted once its done Smiley winking

So hungry now!! Love this idea and agree with PP--since you have to get them so close to the ceremony so they're fresh and delicious (drooling!) a sticker would be a quick and easy way to customize them in a hurry, good luck, can't wait to see your BAM!
