Kleinfeld Dresses

Samantha , on August 16, 2017 at 12:22 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

So I'm pretty sure I have found my dress, but I've been itching to go to Kleinfeld in NY from the show say yes to the dress just to make sure I can't beat my current dress. I've read reviews and I keep getting good and bad sides. Has anyone ever gone? I'm looking for fit and flare with a lot of beading....should I make the trip??

If you feel like the Kleinfeld experience is what you need to fulfill that itch and you can do it - why not go for it?

Kleinfeld is WAY smaller than it looks on tv.. its not the experience you would think. That being said. If it's something you really want to do, go for it!

My mom went to Kleinfield back in the 90s for a friends wedding. She told me it was completely overrated. However, I'm all for making an appointment just so you can say you went!!

I went there back in June as I was told I needed the experience, honestly, I'm glad I just went to the room and had my mom and two friends come with me. Kleinfelds is a very overwhelming experience, a lot of girls = a lot of energy.

We went again this past weekend for my sister who is also getting married, and my mother insisted we sit out in the main room, and my sister went alone with the saleswoman. By the end of our time there my sister was so done with it - she tried on over 14 dresses and the saleswoman didn't really listen to her. She felt there was so much pressure as three girls decided on their dresses in the span of the time she was there.

At least when I went, it was just me and my group and our energy.

If you think you've found your dress, go for it, but if you really need the Kleinfelds experience, make sure you're ready for it.

I live in NYC so it was easy for me to go to kleinfeld. I knew I couldn't say yes to any dress until I went to kleinfeld to get the experience and see if I could find a dress there. It was a nice experience and the consultant I had was very nice and listened to what I had in mind. I didn't say yes to a dress there but I am glad I had a nice experience there. To be honest to me if I lived in another state I wouldn't have flown out just to go to kleinfeld but if you feel like this is a must do for you then do what you feel will make you happy!

It's not like the TV show at all. I went because my Aunt begged me and since it's not far, I gave in. I felt extremely overwhelmed because my family all wanted to see different things on me and I felt pressured because it's kleinfeld. I left without buying a dress. I found my dress somewhere else on my own. The woman was extremely helpful. If I didn't live here, I wouldn't have gone.

I was itching to go to kleinfelds as well, but decided not to go. I read a lot of reviews where brides described the place as packed and the appointments as fairly short. I'm sure they do have many great dresses, but after looking through the website they didn't even carry the designers I was most fond of. They carry a lot of more expensive designers so if you go you should have a larger budget if you intend to see any of the stunning dresses from the show. Then I started thinking about if I get a dress there and have to continually make the trip back and it just seemed kind of pointless just for the experience, and it would end up being a huge waste of money for me to pay for transportation or parking every time. I ended up going to a small boutique that made me feel amazing and I really don't regret not going to Kleinfeld.

I think if you have the budget to be able to afford it and live close enough it won't be a hassle to go back and it's what you want!

But remember that the ideas the show perpetrates - that one perfect dress for everyone crying and butterfiels" isn't necessarily true. I went to four boutiques and found a lot of dresses I liked and looked good on me and I would have been happy with. The two dresses I had to decide between both made me feel great! And I ended up going with one that had all the elements of the different dresses I loved at each store! Don't get discouraged or let anyone pressure you!

I work in the city and I wasn't itching to go. Two different people (former brides, one bring a friend), told me it was overrated. They didn't feel like the consultant was patient with them, and they also had to sign a waiver b/c they didn't want to be on the show.

I never went and have no regrets about it.

I went with another bride and she end up buying her dress there - yes is crowded, I completely agree with the "lots of energy" factor. Get ready for women being at their craziest.

Place is always crowded, and yes the appointment can feel rushed, unless you get there knowing what you want you will most likely need a second appointment.

The seamstress was an issue for my friend, she had to call and complain after her first fitting because nothing was going the way she wanted (why she didn't speak up during fitting I don't know, probably because it so hard to get a hold of people while in that craziness).

Anyway, all in all, she was happy and had an amazing dress but she endured a lot of hectic situations to achieve it.

I got mine from bridal by Lori, say yes to the dress Atlanta. Lori was very kind and helped me a great deal. Especially because I didn't buy my entire dress there just part. No pressure but really bent over backwards to make sure I was happy Smiley smile it's really NOT about the store, it's about how you feel when you are there and the people helping you. Are their intentions good ones? Do they truly see your vision?

I loved my kleinfeld experience. When I went it was the middle of the day on a Saturday during a trunk show. My consultant was Farrah, who listened a lot and was helpful in pulling other dresses not on the main floor. She also brought the designer in at the end and that was who measured me. Plus she suggested getting it altered somewhere local rather than paying $800 for their alterations based on how the sample fit me

I am a size 16 in wedding dress size... do they have enough of a variety in their selection for me to fly in from North Carolina I'm wondering? I'm looking for beaded fit and flare

Save your money on your flight and put it towards your dress, Klinefield is overrated in my opinion.

There's no way it's worth it to fly from NC. You could put the cost of the flight toward a nicer dress.

Yea that's what I was thinking, I did go to bridals by Laurie in Atlanta from the say yes show, unfortunately they didn't have much of a selection for my dress size....so I was wondering if kleinfeld would be a similar situation....I wish there was a website that showed exactly what they had in my size lol

I've heard mixed reviews on Kleinfeld's. I would like to hear other opinions.

Seem to be the UO here but I got my dress from Kleinfeld and had an awesome experience. I went in the middle of a week a few days after Christmas and didn't find it that overwhelming or busy. I mean of course there are going to be other brides because it's so big, but I didn't find it distracting. I had Shay as my consultant and he was able to find me my dream dress even though I initially kept turning down the options he brought. He also listened to my budget and my dress ended up being just over half of what we were willing to spend.

I've heard mixed reviews. Mainly the higher your budget, the better your appointment can be. Also depending on your consultant, they might be pushy. If you want to go though go for it! There can be good and bad anywhere, so you could have a wonderful experience.
