Kinda last minute Reception venue change..

Lisa, on April 5, 2017 at 8:21 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I'm sooo excited about this one. I know it is last minute, but with only having 20 guests, I think it will be worth it. Originally we were just doing a simple reception in a conference room at the hotel. I was struggling with finding catering I was happy with. I am planning this out of state and even though I have had the cake ordered for a while, I finally actually got to do a cake tasting and finalized design when we went. What I wasn't aware of was the fact that the baker doesn't have her own shop. She works out of the kitchen of a restaurant. We met for the tasting right before the restaurant opened, so we decided to stay for dinner. It is a beautiful location! The food was amazing! The best part, I actually got to speak with the owner and he offered to open early to host our reception. Since my party is so small, he is just seating us as a party of 20 instead of all of the reception charges he typically has. I'm super excited and think this is so much better.

I hope the 30 guests at the beginning is really 20 if he's seating you as a party of 20. lol.

But yay! That's great news. Glad you found something you will be happy with!

That worked out well Smiley smile Just be sure to inform your guests of a reception location change (if you sent out invites already or posted any info to a wedding website).
