Kids not invited, cousin supposedly can't find a babysitter.

The only children invited to the wedding are my nieces and nephews and two (under 2) coming from Australia with their parents. My cousin claims she can't find a sitter because all her sitters will be at the wedding and she doesn't trust anyone else. I feel as if she should just figure it out and...

The only children invited to the wedding are my nieces and nephews and two (under 2) coming from Australia with their parents. My cousin claims she can't find a sitter because all her sitters will be at the wedding and she doesn't trust anyone else. I feel as if she should just figure it out and make it happen. My final count is due in 7 days and I'm waiting on her response. I feel as if she waiting for me to cave. What do you all think about this? It's causing me major stress!

    Dont cave. You cant bend when Im sure others found sitters for that night, only to see their kid running around. I would tell her youre very sorry she was unable to find a sitter. And that youll miss her at the wedding.

    Don't give in... a different country is one thing... my cousin gave in to another cousin allowing her two kids to come the wedding... I happened to be at the same table.. kids wouldn't have bothered me... what bothered me was when my cousin got to my table and sat down... I said oh where are the kids.. her response, eh I decided I wanted to have fun so I called a friend to babysit.... so basically, my other cousin paid for two children after the mother pouted about bringing them and didn't even end up bringing them! I was pissed for my cousin.. she even noticed they weren't there and said "seriously??? What a waste!"

    ^glad I get to watch my cousins/family to learn what I will have to deal with, or should I say, what I will be putting a stop to..

    You have to expect declines if you are saying no kids. I had two specific declines directly because of this.
