Kids in wedding party?

We didn't do anything similar, but this is a very sweet idea!

I like the idea if you are having an intimate ceremony. I am having 6 kids in my ceremony. My 13 year old son is walking me down the aisle and then him and my 13 year old nephew are groomsmen. My 9 year old daughter and 9 year old niece (2 months apart) are junior bridesmaids. Then my brothers 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter are my flower girl and ring bearer. We are both older and this is my second marriage so family is a really big deal for us. I think it will be sweet that your kids are standing with you two!!

Yes! My oldest daughter will be my maid of honor and my FH’s daughter will be a bridesmaid and our daughter will be the flower girl. His son will be the best man and my son (he’ll be 15 by then) will walk me down the aisle... we are also having a smaller wedding with just family and the closest of friends.

We eloped almost 23 years ago. I was pregnant. DH just graduated from university. No money, so no wedding I always dreamed. Just a small church ceremony with DH’s family. No reception and whatsoever....


23 years and 3 kids later, DH finally went on his knees. We will renew using our own vow, in Hawaii. Followed by our first honeymoon. Yup, never had any.
Our 22 years old son would be the best man, our 20 years old daughter would be the maid of honor, our son’s girlfriend would be the bridesmaid, and our 8 years old would be our ring bearer.
No other guests. The wedding would be streamed for our family and my besties. After the ceremony we will have a small reception, and the adult kids would take care of our 8 yo for the rest of our stay in Hawaii 🌺

I would love to know how this turned out. We are having an intimate wedding this fall and our kids are our wedding party.
