Kids activities for reception

Kristen, on July 6, 2019 at 7:41 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
I have a coloring/activity sheet for some of the kids but I’m wondering what ideas you all have or what you have done for kids 3 or under

Kids 3 and under there isn't much you can provide for them as far as activities go. They will scribble on the coloring sheets mainly. Their parents should bring activities for toddlers such as their favorite toy(s) and probably snacks. The biggest thing I would say is have some of kind of snack available, maybe baggies of gold fish crackers or yogurt dots in a cute bag at their seat. Once the music and dancing starts they will be good to go with the freedom to run around and be toddlers.

We won't have any activities. It's a relaxed, country wedding with pizza and music to dance to and their parents will be prepared with snacks for them.

I would give the parents a polite heads up to come prepared. While you may have activities, kids their age may not get full use out of them.

Hey Kristen! I think that coloring books are a great idea for when you want them to remain seated, like for the meal and speeches, etc.

As Amanda mentioned, once the music and dancing starts they will have a great time dancing and playing with each other. If parents are attending a wedding with a 3-year-old, I would imagine that they will already be prepared with ways to keep them entertained for the day also.

I REALLY wanted to have a bounce house at the reception for kids! But, we ended up doing an urban/city wedding, so that wasn't practical. If you have the space, a bounce house will be a hit!
