Keeping your hair and make up artists for touch ups??

One of the packages offered by the MUHA (make up/hair artist, idk if this is already an abbreviation) I am thinking of going with includes that she stay for the first two hours of the event time for hair and make up touch ups. So, she'll do my hair and make up and probably stay around for touch ups throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and right up until the reception starts. I hadn't even thought of this, it's the first time I see it offered.

So my question is, for those of you who have already had your wedding:

- Did you have your MUHA stay? If so, was it worth it?

- If you didn't have one stay, do you find it may have been helpful to have had one? Did you feel you could have benefitted from the touch up at some point?

I'm thinking it can't hurt, but at the same time I don't want to spend more money on than is necessary. Especially since the lower package already includes a bridal kit with essentials for touch ups if I need them.

I feel like if they do a good-enough job the first time around, you shouldn't need them to stay. Airbrush is a great way to ensure the make-up will stay put (if they offer that.)

@CRE the package includes airbrush make up and a bride's kit to keep. Which is why I'm wondering if this is even necessary. They told me the packages were customizable so if I don't need these two extra hours, I rather remove them.

Mine didn't stay, but I honestly didn't need her to. She left a "touch-up kit" which included base and lipstick, which were really the only things that may have needed to be touched up. To be honest, though, I was so caught up in everything that I didn't even think to do touch ups, so I don't think it's a necessity.

Definitely not necessary. My makeup lasted through the night, as did my hair (I had an updo). Honestly, there were no time for touch-ups anyway! Have some oil blotting papers and definitely your lipcolor (my MUA gifted both to me as part of my package). The lip color is a MUST, and the only thing I needed to touch up.

I would definitely have your hair stylist stay to touch up your hair. After putting so much money and effort into photos and video the last thing you want is for hair to look sloppy or out of place and ruin video or photos. Trust me! It happened to me and I am still upset about it. I wanted nothing on my back because I had a beautiful low back dress and I had a chunk of hair that de-curled and laying flat down my back for the entire wedding!! :-((. Also, by the time my reception started, 8 hours after having my hair done, it looked sloppy. Not horrible, but not clean and neat like I wanted. My wedding party was having way to much fun by that poit to notice me and now because I didn’t have touch ups, I have to live with seeing my messed uo hair for life. I also, should have hired a person to be with me for the entire night and to watch how I looked. It was a very fun wedding on the water and my friends just were enjoying themselves and unfortunately were not looking at my hair :-(. GET THE STYLIST TO STAY. The money is worth it! Or risk looking sloppy :-(.
