My fiancee and I have noticed that with WeddingWire's RSVP tool, guests are able to type in whatever name they want and view or edit that person's RSVP, even if it's not their own. This is an issue since we are having a smaller ceremony for family and a few close friends and wouldn't like people to know who is invited to what.

Is there a good method for keeping RSVPs private online on WeddingWire or another online RSVP tool?

Thanks!

Why don't you add the ability to search by email address or phone number or use that information to validate the person they searched. For example, search by first and lastname and to verify the person is who they say are they need to enter their email address and or phone number or answer some other security question correctly that user would only know. It is a little more work for the bride/groom to enter that information in the website but at least that way not anyone can rsvp on the behalf of another unless that other person is part of their invite group. Just a thought!

I am having this same issue!! It's horrible that guests can see all the other guests and can modify their reservations, and that they have to scroll through all the other guests to find themselves. I've looked at other sites (theknot, zola, etc.), and they don't seem to have this issue. I love wedding wire but might have to move my website to another provider due to this issue! Smiley sad
