We are back from our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! We traveled to Kauai and it was absolutely beautiful. This was our first time in Hawaii. We were super worried about the weather bc Kauai was experienced flash flooding all week- very unusual for this time of year. The forecast literally predicted rain every single day of our trip. Luckily the rain was off and on and we were still able to enjoy our trip!
We rented a Jeep and stayed on the north shore. The views were abosolutey amazing. I definitely recommend staying on the north shore during the summer months. We rented a condo and we had the ocean views on one side and the incredible mointains on the other. It was convenient having the kitchen to cook some of our own meals and enjoy them on our balcony. We spent a lot of our time on the beaches snorkeling. We saw tons of fish, eels and even a seahorse. One morning we even saw a turtle. It was one of the best moments of the trip. The water was so clear and nice and warm. We cannot wait to go back!!! It was incredibly relaxing and the whole island had a really laid back feel.
We are big fans of Jurassic Park so we splurged on a Jurassic Park waterfall helicopter tour. It was so beautiful! The helicopter took us around the island and the views of the napali coast were breathtaking. Kauai is a small island with really only one main road circling the island, so the helicopter is really the only way to see all the incredible landscapes. So many mountains, cliffs, waterfalls etc. The helicopter landed near the falls and we got to walk up to it and enjoy it for about 25 minutes before flying off again. It was like a dream.
We ended our trip with a sunset napali coast dinner cruise through captain Andy’s sailing adventures. I HIGHLY recommend this company and we plan to take advantage of their snorkeling cruise next time. The sunset cruise lasted about 4.5 hours and takes you along the beautiful napali coast and a few sea caves. The views were incredible. I will never forget it. The crew new we were on our honeymoon and suggested we sat right at the front of the boat for the best view. They were right! The dinner served was delicious and also included fresh cocktails. The captain gave some history on the island played great music towards the end of the cruise. Everyone was having a great time and the sunset was magical.
We absolutely loved it and cant wait to go back! Please feel free to ask any questions about anything and I’ll do my best to help!
Now for the pictures!!
