Penguin and Turtle

Some things that are uniquely "US":

1. Our pet name for each other. I'm "Penguin" and he's "Turtle". I love penguins and when I was pregnant with our daughter 5 years ago, I kinda waddled like a penguin. And when I first met him, I realized it took him SOOOOO long to get ready for our dates, I jokingly called him Mr. Turtle. It just stuck. He still moves slow, but that's my turtle.

2. We HAVE to wish each other well in the morning. For him, I tell him to "Be Great" (or in a text, it's #BeGreat) and he tells me to "Make a Difference" (if texting, #MakeADifference). He always calls me on his lunch break. Before he goes back to work, I tell him to "Stay Amazing". He continues to remind me to "Make a Difference".

3. We end each call (or depart in person) with "I love you" followed by "Love you, bye!" My folks get a kick out of that.

Love this post. Our favorite thing to do together is eat. LOL But I'm serious when we plan vacations, we look at specific locations because of the food. We will plan out where were planning to eat each night. Halloween is my fiances favorite holiday, he instantly becomes one of the kids. I love watching him on Halloween, he just lights up. He always dresses up and scares the bigger kids with a chainsaw and decorates every year. We actually have a room in our house that I have named the Halloween room, he has tons of animatronics and they take up the entire room.
