Just getting started, so many questions

Taissa, on June 10, 2019 at 3:05 PM Posted in California Planning 0 1
Hello future brides,
I just got engaged last month and started the whole wedding planning process. Soooo many things to think about that I never realized were important. Pretty sure we found a place that includes a lot, but at the higher end of our budget. So with all the remaining things needed for the wedding (cake, DJ, food, etc) I’m trying to find the most cost effective options. We were thinking of using a family friend who does BBQ for a buffet meal. However, I’m not that excited about his appetizer options for cocktail hour. Any ideas for places that do just appetizers for cocktail hour that won’t put us over the edge with budget. We aren’t looking for anything fancy, but we also don’t want to do cheese and crackers. Wedding will be in Paso Robles, CA
Thank you

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Taissa!

Congratulations on your engagement Smiley smile

It's worth double checking if your venue allows external caterers, as some venues only allow you to pick off an approved list of vendors, or use their exclusive caterer. It may avoid you a nasty surprise down the line!

If bringing in external caterers is ok, they may be able to recommend a caterer for the appetizers from previous weddings at the venue. I would suggest you speak with the venue coordinator and see if they can help!

How many guests will you be catering for?
