Just booked final 10/10/20 vendor!!!

10 minutes ago, I paid a deposit for our last and final vendor. So now all of them are booked!!!! My goal was to have vendors secured by the new year, so this is great! My dress is already purchased and all decor ideas have been decided upon (no DIY). We’re sending our save the dates in January and I didn’t want to spend 2020 thinking about wedding plans. So now we get to relax even earlier and enjoy the remaining year of our engagement.

The only thing left is the honeymoon and I have no idea what we’re going to do. We’re already going to Jamaica in January and on a cruise in March. 🤔

What’s left on your list?

That's awesome! Way to go for being so proactive! I still have last minute-ish things like finalizing the catering and getting bowties for the groomsmen. A trip to Costa Rica would be so cool! Or even consider the country Panama. FH and I have been there before and absolutely loved it Smiley smile

Sitting back was definitely the goal!! Anything remaining is just a small loose end.

Costa Rica sounds like a great idea. I had a friend who just went there, but I never chatted with her about it yet! Thanks!!!

Lol!!! Don’t worry... you still have time! Everyone tackles wedding planning differently. My plan was to make quick and sound decisions, knock everything out and enjoy the engagement without being consumed with wedding plans. However, I believe that there are some brides who purposefully stretch out every last planning detail so that they have something wedding related to do for the entire engagement. Those are typically the same brides who I see changing their minds over and over about what dress they want, what flowers for the bouquet, what style the invitations should be or completely changing their color scheme midstream, etc. etc. It’s almost as if they “fear“ the idea of not having anything left to plan for 6 months and they don’t want to lose their “bride feeling” and attention. So instead of moving forward they keep revisiting decisions they’ve already made.

But not me! Once we selected the venue, I already envisioned everything I wanted in the wedding and how I wanted it to look. Then we searched for and interviewed vendors. If they were professional, if we clicked and we liked their work... then we booked them and moved on to the next. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time flipping & flopping. I often see brides on here stating that they’re so stressed. Many times I just want to say, “You’re stressed because you won’t just make a damn decision. It’s a wedding plan... not a surgical life or death decision.“ 😆

    Best wishes & happy planning!
