June 2020 brides: freaking out?

Our date is June 12th. FH keeps telling me things will be fine by then... but like everyone else, I've put so much thought and effort into this. I just want our magical day to happen. How are my fellow June brides feeling?

Hi Amber! I postponed from June 19th to July 24th, and then decided to postpone to next year. Unfortunately, I don’t believe our guest count will feel safe then. We have about 140 people and I want them to feel comfortable and free to dance. Hope it works out well for you!!

I postponed my June 6th date to August 29th, 2020. My Venue has been in constant contact throughout and this date was the only option to be able to still get married this year. I'm in Florida and hoping everything will be normal by then as I am not sure how my venue will be able to accommodate all of the weddings they have set for this year.

Our venue just called and canceled yesterday. Our date was June 28th and in Northern California.

Now i am planning a new wedding in a backyard. LOL smaller guest list but i have 30 days to figure out new vendors.

    Hi Pattie,
I’m in Northern California too and we had to do the same for our June 6th church wedding ceremony and restaurant reception. We’re now having a garden wedding in my friends backyard. If you’re interested in any of our decor or vendor rental suggestions, happy to share photos with you and organize a safe socially distant pickup/drop off. For example, my fiancé and I built and painted a white pergola arch that we’re decorating with silk flowers designed by our wedding florist and chiffon fabric draped over it to serve as our altar. We’ll basically never use it again so if you’re interested in it, you can have it free of charge. We’re going to do the reception next year, but still wanted to go through with the ceremony this year.

    Same here!

I live in Southern California and we just recently had our "quarantine wedding" this past weekend at my mother's backyard. My family put it ALL together... including building the arch. It was beyond BEAUTIFUL! Smiley smile We're still having our "big" wedding next year tho... mainly because most of our vendors weren't able to refund our money. But our quarantine ceremony was more beautiful than we had ever hoped for. Incredibly BLESSED to have family & friends like mine. Smiley smile
