We decided that we aren’t going to let COVID-19 ruin this experience of marrying my best friend. I did have to relocate where we are getting married but I just feel like it was sign from the creator because I am saving money and am able to have more family join our special day! ❤️

Things are still tight in NJ...We pushed the big celebration to nex July, but this July 12th my FH and I will legally marry with only our pastor and two witnesses and have a dessert bonfire with close family and friends after.

Wedding date is July 11th. We decided to keep the same date but we had to change the destination. Was planning to get married in Jamaica. Downsized from 200 guests to 75 guests. We decided to have the big celebration new year to celebrate our one year anniversary with our friends and family who can’t make it to this one.

Congratulations to you all! Enjoy your special day ❤️

    Hi Jocelyn,
Something good had to happen. I too had to relocate my location but on the bright side, save a lot of money and I plan to put that extra money towards next year celebrate.

We currently are still planning for July 31, 2020, though are discussing postponing to either July 2021 or July 2022 (our venue has extremely limited availability for 2021). Hoping to make a decision within the next week or two. We are in Michigan, where COVID cases have been steadily decreasing, though most of our guests are coming in from out of state (some coming in from states that are seeing a lot of COVID cases right now), so we're trying to decide whether it's best to postpone.

We're postponing. We were hoping to have a much smaller wedding but what convinced us to postpone was when some of our immediate family members (mom and sister) let us know they would not be able to travel to our wedding as their doctors had concerns with them traveling right now. We rather wait if that means they'll be able to join us later, as my sister said "you're planning to spend the rest of your life with this person. Getting married now or later shouldn't change that". Good luck everyone and congrats to the July brides who are moving forward!

Definitely keeping our plans! Our venue gave us the OK to keep our original guest count. There are definitely a lot more precautions and more DONTs than DOs allowed but we are continuing on. All guests are required to have masks, hand sanitizer will be at tables, doors will be kept opened - door knows and touched surfaces will be cleaned hourly... I'm sure the fun will still happen. We are also not doing cake! Things have changed, but we are still celebrating.

We were planned for May 23rd, but had to postpone. So, we decided to have a small ceremony on our own with just family and we moved the big ceremony to July 25th! We’re happy with these plans and all of our vendors have been overly helpful with changing the date! We received our anniversary and small ceremony cake in addition to our big ceremony cakes in July! Our photographer came and took pictures for our small ceremony and is coming back for the big ceremony! All in all things have worked out and we’ve been truly blessed with all that’s going on!

Keeping our original date of July 17 getting legally married in the backyard with only about 25-30 people our guest list was 170 and we are sad everyone cannot be there we’re thinking of just having the wedding reception next July to have everyone there to properly celebrate.

We are keeping our plans as of now, we just are having to reduce our guest list to 50. My fiancé and I went back and forth so many times, but feel like this is our best option. We are getting married July 4th and didn’t want all of our decorations to go to waste!
