My fiancé and I will continue to wait until mid to late May to make any decisions. Again, the projections for summer are positive right now. I don't want to postpone unless we have to.

Hi beautiful brides from July !!

My fiancé and I decided to finally postpone our wedding to December . It was a tough decision . We decided that in order to still keep July 25th as a special date , we will legally get married in that day .( If possible) . We feel lucky and grateful all of our vendors have our new date available .

    Hi, all!

I know the summer brides are worried and I just wanted to share with you all why my fiancé and I are keeping things as scheduled for July 11 and worrying a bit less. The outbreak is projected to last into the summer, however, the social distance measures aren't expected to last until then. If you look at the projected peaks Here, you'll see that we're expected to peak around April 15th as a country and then we'll be out of the red completely by late June, though I doubt social distancing will be ordered until then. Although we may be in the clear to have the wedding, this pandemic has added another layer of concern for our guests. I'm sure there will be PTSD from all of this and when everything opens back up I think people will need time to grieve. Also, we have to keep in mind that many people have lost their jobs and won't have the money to spend to attend. There's also the possibility that everyone will have to wear something over their face in public. Also, different states will peak at different times. I think all of these factors must be taken into consideration if you decide to keep your summer date or postpone.

Hi Elizabeth! Yes it did. Just heard the May 8th, phase 1 reopening from our governor though. Our wedding planner told us that we need to plan for a 50 person wedding with social distancing because that is what she thinks it will be in July. I am still not 100% on that we wont be to phase 3. But wedding could look very different still.

My fiance and I are thinking about doing the same thing. I'm trying to figure out what it would look like though. Are you going to wear your wedding dress for your July 10th ceremony? Are you having another ceremony on September 25th or just the reception? Thanks for sharing!

So on my wedding day I’m not wearing my dress. I think it’s too long and pretty for a short little chapel ceremony. I don’t wanna get all glam when no one will really be there lol. I’m going to wear a cute summer white lace dress and a short blusher veil. I am also going to get a small sunflower bouquet from the grocery store. We will exchange rings. My photographer offered to be there for the hour to get some pictures. Which I really appreciate since it is the real wedding day.

For the “big” celebration we are doing a “vow renewal. We will still have a ceremony of sorts and will have bridesmaids and groomsmen since they won’t be attending in July. The only difference is we will be technically married so no ring exchange.
Also sadly with the way things are going in the world we are leaning towards moving the big reception to July 2021. I don’t think in September we will be out of wearing masks and some social distancing happening. Plus our honeymoon would be complicated. We will still legally marry this July. But move honeymoon to spring 2021 and vow renewal/reception July 2021.

    Hi Viridiana!

We also pushed ours from 7/17 to December. It was the furthest out we could go and still have my siblings there (high school and college break) and without complicating too many things for me being our since I'm a teacher. Grateful that all vendors are available! We're planning on still marrying 7/17 (if possible) since the date has meaning for us. Definitely won't be wearing my dress lol but looking into how December's "ceremony" will look.

Our date is July 25th, we aren't postponing. Our plan is to go about things as normal and if people don't feel comfortable attending they don't have to. So we'll have as many people as we are allowed!

We just made the call to postpone until July 10, 2021. Everything is still so unsure. Everyone in my fiancee's family lives on the east coast and were RSVPing no to be safe. We finally admitted it was best to wait. We're still going to have an elopement on our date and the party next year.

Hello, My wedding is in July and I’m struggling with the same thing. My guest list is 100 people and everyone keeps telling me it should be duable by then. My venue says 8 to 10 weeks out should know whether we have to cut down but how do I keep planning with the unknown at this point I don’t even know when or if to send out the Invitations?
