To me, they are pretty much the same. One good thing is that their coupons are interchangeable.

Just make sure you use a coupon at either store. The mark up for their products is extremely high!

Michael's gives you a coupon every time you buy something at their store, on the receipt. So go in, buy one very small thing, then come back the next day and use the coupon for the rest of the purchases. I do that all the time to save some $$

I found that michaels has a better flower selection and they have alot of sales .I like both though I found the flower for my headpiece and real cheap rhinestones and feathers there so they're both great

I would say Michaels and if you google Michaels promotional codes you can find a coupon for 50% off

I like Michael's way better for wedding stuff, but when it comes to price without coupons, I think they're more expensive than JoAnn. I dunno for sure, I don't remember the last time I paid full price for anything in one of the two stores lol.

I love finding great clearance deals at all my hobby and craft stores. You can get some great buys if you compare and shop about!

I've noticed that Joanns seems to be a bit cheaper, at least in my area. They usually have lots of stuff on sale, online only though. I do like Michaels gives out coupons with every receipt though. Like the others say, you can buy something small, then come back with the 50% coupon and save, usually its just one item though. Thats what always gets me, I usually want a ton of small things (I like to make jewelry), so there sometimes isn't a point of 50% of a $2 item, lol.

I think they're priced about the same, but Michael's are usually bigger and have more selection.

I did most of my shopping, for my daughters wedding scrapbook, at Michaels. At the end of the process, I discovered Craft Warehouse. Their prices were MUCH less, although they were also sooooo busy. So, the crowds were a bit of a pain. LOL!

I'd say Michaels, but only because you can get coupons for up to 50% off on any day of the week.

Where do I get these Michael s coupons

If you have a HOBBY LOBBY by you, every cple of weeks the entire wedding dept goes on sale for 50% off...no coupon needed......the selection is much larger than the Joanns and Michaels by me also.....

Michaels coupons can be printed offline...you can use one per day per person...mostly their coupons by us are for 40% off......not 50%......I am in Northern Illinois
