Super August 2019

Jeeze 10 days and counting!!!

Tina, on August 6, 2019 at 6:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

OMG I have only 10 days until my wedding!! For me to have been working on this thing for the last 18 months I feel like I have been at a stand still for the past month. EEK LOL Smiley winking.

Things left to do

1. Final dress fitting this Sunday. I literally lost 8 inches off my waist and she has adjusted my dress several times and told me to stop working out already. LOL

2. I still need to pick out the design for my wedding nails (Can you show me what you are doing?)

3. Need to pick the pictures I want to display. Its been 20 plus years and 3 kids later so I am unsure what all I want to include or exclude.

4. Buy the alcohol (doing that today) and I am going with boxed wine and Bud light beer I guess

5. I need to print the photos of each married couple and frame them as I am giving them out as gifts after the first dance and I am giving the couple that has been married the longest these blinged out chocolate covered strawberries

6. I need to get my hair dyed (first time and I am super nervous) for the wedding as well. My fabulous niece is going to do my hair and make up.

7. Need to pick up my veil from my friend

8. Men's final tux fitting

9. Revise this blasted seating chart for the uptenth time as people have canceled and added on. (Can you show me your seating charts?)

And I think that is it!! Out of a list of a zillion things to do I am finally down to this..can't help but to wonder what I may be missing.

How is your list looking these days Smiley laugh ?

10 wow! I wonder how I will feel when I reach that day.
My list is at point where when I scratch off one thing, 3 others magically appear lol.
Good luck with all of it.
I was going to have my final fitting 6 weeks prior, but now I am wondering if thats a good idea.

Noooo kidding with the never ending list thing. LOL. There is a countless amount of things to do for a wedding. I had no clue just how much detail went into it all. LOL. And yea I would do your final fitting a little closer. I have been back so many times now. Smiley laugh

3 days for us!! Friday is the big day! Here my list:

    1. Final meeting with photographer later this morning
    2. Final dress fitting/pick up today (they had to let it out)
    3. Finishing centerpieces tonight and making a list for the venue
    4. Dropping of decor, escort cards etc to venue and final payment tomorrow
    5. Buy alcohol and soda and snacks for rehearsal dinner and drop off at my brothers (rest of family is bring various salads and my brother gifted us catered roast beef sandwiches!)
    6. Mani/Pedi Wednesday night with my Matron and Maid of honor!
    7. Thursday: pick up corsages and bouts, and 2 Rose's, check into hotel, and rehearsal/dinner
    8. Friday: GET MARRIED!!!!!!

Just take it one day at a time and make a timeline of what days you want what done. That's what we did and it's been very easy! Congrats!!!

For your fitting, I would push it out if you can! I went in June, and my dress was snug, but it zipped! Then I went last Thursday, literally 8 days before the wedding and we couldnt zip it (pretty sure it's just bloat from my period). But to be safe they are taking it out as much as they can and I am picking it up later today! Hoping it fits!!!!

Awww...thank you for sharing this! Rock on. That is great. I almost got married that day too but the venue was booked. I also still need to write my vows. YIKES!!! What does your day of timeline look like?

That's good to know. I will go to the one I have in a few weeks and then tell her I will pick it up 2 weeks prior. That should be enough.

August 16th? Me too!! The only thing I really have to do is pick up some last minute alcohol. I only have 25 people so I'm getting it at a supermarket and not a vendor

It is super early, but we have 6 girls getting hair and makeup, and we wanted to do a first look and photos before the ceremony so had to back everything up from there. It will totally be worth it though!
