Has anyone else had issues with Jared? We got my engagement ring from them, and was generally happy with them until last night...

We can't find a band to match the engagement ring, so we are having a custom band made. We went in November to get a quote on how much it would be. They came back with $1100, which we thought was fine, but we said we wanted to wait til after the holidays so I would have my engagement ring. A manager sat down with us and tried to talk us into making the purchase that day, so clearly he saw the amount as well. Continued in comments

    I don't think anyone here is stating that they don't believe that a mistake was made. But we're being realistic about what a business will pay for. Essentially you have no leg to stand on to force them to give you the diamonds for that price. They'll give you your money back and say best of luck.

    I recently called Jared's customer service to complain because a sales associate allowed another customer to cut in front of us in line and didn't adequately handle the situation. They pulled our account and saw the multiple tens of thousands of dollars we've spent there in two years and they were A-okay with losing us as customers when it was brought up.

    @ Carolyn thanks. I'm not bitching at anyone here. Just really pissed off at this situation. FH thinks that since they already made the mold and have put work into it, we might set somewhere. But I really am willing to walk away after this.

    FH went up there and basically he was told that what we paid was an estimate and that the final price was up to the jeweler. I'm pretty sure that information was pertinent to us at the time of purchase, and should have been on our paperwork somewhere, not randomly told to us after the fact. It's total BS. he was refunded our price and I will never do business with Jared again.

    I got a custom engagement ring from Jared and seriously had an issue every step of the way! I thought it may just be the location but after hearing from you, I will probably tell everyone who ever asks to stay far far away from them. It was a nightmare. Got a really good deal and I am really happy with the final product, but feel like we had fight them every step and I had to call at least twice a week to make sure they were even making progress on the custom. Get your money back and try to find something that matches elsewhere! DON'T DO A CUSTOM! And don't let them tell you that once the process starts you can't get your money back, because that is not true. I love my ring, don't get me wrong, but the process was grueling. I am dreading going to get it cleaned there twice a year for the rest of my life. I will be buying my wedding band elsewhere! Hopefully I don't have a problem finding one like you did. I will gladly angry rant with you anytime lol. Stupid Jared lol.
