So I originally wanted to be married in September because of the nice weather and being able to be married outside. We fell in love with a venue, but it's way out of our budget to get married in September there. We were able to get a really good deal for January or February. I'm willing to get over...

So I originally wanted to be married in September because of the nice weather and being able to be married outside. We fell in love with a venue, but it's way out of our budget to get married in September there. We were able to get a really good deal for January or February. I'm willing to get over not having the wedding in September to be able to get married at my dream place, but which month should I do? Is there that much of a difference between Jan and Feb? Need some advice please (:

I would do the last weekend in February. Far away from the holidays and not Valentine's Day weekend or Presidents' Day (typically a 3 day weekend). Last weekend in February the holidays are over and there are no little holidays inbetween. Less chance of a huge blizzard in NJ since it's closer to

    March.

I'm in Nj too (southern) and honestly I don't think it matters Much weather wise. However like others said, definitely need to consider costs for oot guests. Considering after the holidays, people might be low on the bank acct, feb might be the month to get married. I'm sure whatever you decide it will be beautiful

Football playoffs are in January, not sure if that influences anything for you. Check for any major events in your city to avoid. Otherwise the months are pretty similar.

We avoided both months because of the high risk of bad weather for our guests. You might want to hold out for September, which gives you more time to save money.
