If you were anywhere other than Southern CA, I would say yes, you might be crazy. But SoCal is beautiful most of the time, and doesn't get a ton of rain. I'm in NoCal, and go down there regularly, so I think your chances are good. But you might want to make sure your venue has a backup plan in case of rain (like a tent, indoor space, etc.).

That's what everyone keeps telling us. Especially here in cali the weather is so unpredictable There is sun year round and counted days of rain. Our Venue Has a backup plan with indoor setup. which is also beautiful. But i will much rather prefer the outdoor set up. I think i'm probably just freaking out as of now thinking of the endless possibilities.

I think you will be fine. I live in SoCal too and honestly last years rain was bizarre. Typically we don’t get much rain. You might get a cold evening but that’s manageable. We are February 2020 and getting married in Yosemite and praying for snow 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s wonderful that your venue has an indoor backup space in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Try not to freak out and think about everything that could go wrong. If I didn’t have a backup plan, I would be freaked, however, you have a beautiful one so that’s a massive load of worry off! Hopefully it won’t be needed.

I’d love to hear more about your wedding! What is your wedding style/theme?

Our wedding date is January 11 and set to have an outdoor ceremony in Florida. Usually we have beautiful days during the winter and only cold at night. Hoping that’s true on January 11.
