jamaican food for reception

future mrs bridgewater, on April 16, 2012 at 1:22 AM Posted in Planning 0 41

Spoke to my dad today and he decided just to have jamaican food at the reception. I think its a good idea. Its very different and people will enjoy it including me. Lol. now there is not too many jamaican restaurants here in vegas but i did find a restaurant that serves ameerican food with a island twist so im gonna check them too.i wish my family was here to help me cook to save money. Gonna have a signature drink of rum punch and beef patties as my appietizers. Also i want to know if i just can have the traditional wedding with carribbean vibe without making it tacky

I wanna come to ur wedding! yuummyy! I say you can make your reception anything you want to Smiley smile I would look around and google u will be surprised to find a nice Jamaican restaurant who can cater. or do you know people from Jamaica who know anyone who cooks for parties. You want to make it authentic.

For example I am from Africa. if i served African food, I would want someone from my country to make the food. Make your think carribean vibe by adding centerpices and favors.

My cake is traditional American cake but the favors are mini Jamaican rum cake
