The dilemma of of having a ivory/champagne color gown and being told that if the groom shirt is white the pictures makes me look like my dress is dirty!

How accurate is this? I’ve tried so many angles of taking pictures with the dress and white shirt and trying to find a shirt to match my color is throwing my main color for my wedding party off

Any ideas or recommendations?

My dress is the same, the tux we picked up for FH are dark grey with an ivory vest white shirt and ivory tie. It looks great!

I think it will be fine. He could always change is shirt to ivory so you two will match or have an ivory tie and vest.

I’m wearing a ivory dress as well my fiancé is going this Saturday for a fitting.. I’m definitely going to find out as well because I sure don’t want none of this to clash in pictures or anything.
I’m sure the tux place will know what to do

My dress is like white on the top and champagne on the bottom too. What are you doing in regards for jewelry since you have a two tone? Here is what mine looks like, but in person the top isn't as dark as the bottom.

Well, ladies... after all the crazy of stressing about my dress color and pictures... I ended up not doing a thing differently! My now husband wore a white shirt and I wore my ivory/ champagne dress and we looked just beautiful and stunning. Honestly, I think Menswear house say that because they have a terrible looking ivory shirt lol but I don really know why they even do this bring this up any more. Let's be honest there you have to have a really bad photographer Here are a few of my preview pictures. Thank you all for your help!

My dress is champagne and I don't worry about the contrast, I don't think it'll be that noticeable. But then again Ivory/champagne in one store vs another may have different undertones. Which is why getting color swatches is important
