We initially were going to have a roast beef craving station and all our linens be a dark teal velvet.
But last night we were talking about upgrading to the prime rib and changing the linens to ivory.
I feel it makes sense to change to the better food but without the dark teal linen, we kind of lose our color scheme since the linen is the only place other than our MOH dress this color shows on our wedding day. We could change the napkin color to this but it’s about double ($225) more than what we are paying now.
What would you do? Keep everything as is or swap it and/or eat the $225 to keep the color scheme? Ugh! $225 isn’t horrible but trying break even.

Go to www.tableclothsfactory.com. They have a variety of table runners, etc. for extremely cheap prices. (Ex. I bought satin table runners for my wedding for less than a dollar each, and the quality was great!). With this, you can upgrade food without sacrificing your colors or budget!

Do what makes you happy! Personally, none of my stuff remotely has a color scheme, but I'm happy! And who's going to remember the linens?! Everyone (including you) will remember the fun, the love, and the happiness shared that night

    THIS.

I think I remember ONE linen color and that was because the theme was 'space', so the linens were dark.

Food is so much more important.

We were supposed to have royal blue linens to go with our color scheme as well but a week before my coordinator called and said that they were having supply chain issues and wouldn't be able to get them in and we would have to go with ivory instead. I was bummed but honestly I can tell you that day of the wedding I didn't even notice the linens. At all. I would save the money and upgrade the food instead because that's what guests (and you!) will remember.

I would for sure recommend the better food!! You and especially your guests will remember the food. I still get compliments about how good the food was at my wedding and we had guests tell us they've never had food that good at an event before. I'm sure the linens would look nice and if that's what you have your heart set on, go for that!! if you can swing it, I'd go with ivory linens and do the colored napkin. Or maybe you can find other ways to tie that color in? A few accents to your centerpiece or some small flowers added to your bouquets perhaps? I think ivory linens are nice.... they're classy, crisp, and they keep the focus on the centerpiece.
