Ivory Dress on White Aisle Runner??

Mrs. Captain America, on November 15, 2013 at 6:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 6

Hey there! So I found an aisle runner for pretty cheap and I'd love to get it, but I'm not sure if it would look good or not. My dress is in Ivory and the aisle runner is white. I've never thought about it before, but a thought popped into my head thinking maybe the ivory dress would look dirty with the white runner.

Do you guys think it matters? Or any thoughts?

Don't over think it. No, it doesn't matter.

Where will your aisle runner be? On uneven ground I've seen bridesmaids trip. They never seem to want to stay in place (inside or out). They just seem to be more trouble than they're worth.

I don't think the color would be that important (i don't think anyone would notice) but as paris said i've always heard they are way more trouble than they're worth. its usually on the list of things people say was a waste of money...

Ohh yeah that's something to think about. The ceremony is in a church so the ground would be ok. I'd definitely love to save money where I can.

I've thought about doing flower petals next to the pews and such but if I remember right the church has this awkward reddish colored carpet. (My colors are plum and gray) Maybe I could do silver flower petals down the aisle?

    Hmmmm

Does your church allow you to put petals down. It varies from venue to venue, and a lot don't.

My church has reddish carpet too. Why? LOL

Silver or white/ivory petals would work. i'd be worried that my heel would snag in the runner or something..

Yep, my church would allow it I believe. It's nice cause the Pastor has known me since I was a baby and my entire family so it's easy communicating with him

LOL I know.. It's usually either red or green or blue!

Chloe yeah I was wondering about that before. Plus aisle runners are always wrinkled in pictures now that I think about it.
