It's gonna rain!

It's definitely going to rain on our wedding day on Satursday (which is honestly fine because it was looking like it might thunderstorm, and that would have been a disaster)! It's definitely going to rain on our wedding day on Satursday (which is honestly fine because it was looking like it might thunderstorm, and that would have been a disaster)! Looks like our wedding will be moving indoors, but luckily, the venue is just as pretty inside as it is outside! Any other brides/grooms in the same boat?

Tell me about your rain plan (if you needed one) or share pics if it rained on your wedding day!

LOVE these pictures! I love the depth the rain adds the the colors outside! When I was doing photography I'd always hope for rain in the morning with just enough clear time to get outside and get the pictures lol

I love the pictures! it’s forecasted to rain on our day (the 24th) & we will have to just move everything under the tent and if it’s crazy put up sides to the tents. it’ll still be pretty but idk if pics will be since there isn’t really much of an “inside” to my venue (vineyard). but i’m praying for the best & trying not to stress & my venue coordinator said sometimes they turn out to be their best weddings so fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you, FutureMrsV! You're right. The colors outside were stunning. It was an unusually rainy winter in N. CA which gave the trees on our venue a cool mossy look. (And we never would have gotten those cute umbrella photos without the rain.) Ooh...I bet you have some stunning photos. Even clouds make such beautiful outdoor photos.

A tent (with lights) would be so lovely in a vineyard--rain or shine! Which venue did you choose, and can you post a pic?

Does anyone have tent pricing? We decided to switch ceremony spots instead of rent a tent, but I'm curious as to how much they are????

Hi OP! Make sure to confirm with your venue they are all set for inside and do a quick check to make sure your details and personal items will be displayed where you want them. Our wedding had so much rain pour down during my outdoor reception. The venue wasn't ready to relocate us, and my guests end up being unsure of where to go for an eternal 5 minutes. I find it important to let brides know how important it is to double check the plan B. I had done my part the day prior to the the wedding, but the venue did not follow thru with it - I can only imagine if I hadn't mentioned it before and/or had it in writing.

Although I was upset with the situation, my guests had fun - some decided to stay out during the confusion and dance on the rain! No one complained, on the contrary, believe it or not, they found it amusing.
