We have decided on Italy for our honeymoon! I am super overwhelmed trying to plan it, as there is so much we want to see but we still want to be able to relax. We will have at least 2 weeks, maybe 2.5 depending on schedule. I am hoping for some advice on what are must sees and how many cities you recommend for two weeks?

I am thinking of keeping it to three cities. We definitely want to do the Tuscany area and visit some wineries. I figured maybe we would start there, then go to Rome for a few days. Lastly, would like to spend at least 5 days on the Almalfi coast, thinking Positano, or Sorrento and a day trip to Capri.

I also want to see Lake Como, Venice, and Cinque Terre but I feel like all of that would be too much for one trip. Thoughts on what we must see while we are there or opinions on any of these cities? I want to make the most of our trip because who knows when we will get back - but I also do not want to try to pack too much in.

We also are going to Italy for 2 weeks for our honeymoon! I did some research on TripAdvisor and ppl on there recommended doing the 3 major cities since we both have never been there and saving the Amalfi coast for an anniversary trip so that we wouldn't be so rushed. So we are flying into Venice, training to Florence and while there taking a day trip to Pisa, then train to Cinque Terre for 3 days and then train to Rome for 3 days and flying home from there. Hope you have a great trip!

Your trip sounds amazing!! I love Rome and the Vatican. It's incredible. I've heard the Almalfi Coast is amazing. But so is Cinque Terre. Either one would be beautiful. Lake Como is great but maybe save that for another trip. Congratulations!

By any chance is this discussion still active? I am giving myself such a headache trying to plan everything, haha.

I would love to hear more about your itinerary, if you don't mind. Smiley smile I am hoping to fly into Milan and out of Rome just as you did. We have 14 days to work with plus the 2 travel days.

We would love to see all of those areas, but are afraid of spreading ourselves too thin...it is a honeymoon, afterall...we would love to be able to relax a bit! Smiley winking

I have to include a week to visit my fiance's family in Naples and my family in the Salerno area, so at that point Pompeii, Amalfi/Sorrento/Capri, etc. can be covered.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi!! Can you share what food tour you did when you were in Parma? This is such a helpful review. Thank you!
