Just wondering if any of you have used Venmo as a way to pay any of your vendors? Any issues come up or was it a good experience? With how technology is nowadays and how everyone likes the ease of things just wanted to know if any brides used Venmo to pay their hairdresser, photographer, bakery,...

We used it for our hair and makeup artist! I just required a signed contract and receipt of payment.

I received a contract from the photographer which made me feel more secure so I'm so happy to hear you had a nice experience through Venmo with your hair and makeup artist!

Absolutely! It is owned by the same company that owns PayPal too. I use it all the time, even to pay rent.

I used Venmo to pay the deposit for my DJ! At first I thought it was a bit odd, but it seems to be super common nowadays!

That was my initial thought too! Glad it’s more common than I expected

Like other posters have said, I put in the comments what it was for, and made sure to make screenshots of the transaction just in case!

That's awesome! Thanks for the input. I have officially put down my first deposit via Venmo last night.

I’ve paid most of my vendors via Venmo. It’s great. Cash or card!

I will be using Venmo to pay for my hair and makeup, and FH is paying the officiant through Venmo and the DJ through Zelle. I think it’s very common now, just make sure you are indeed paying the correct person and if you want, ask that they confirm the receipt of payment

Thanks! When I added my photographer on Venmo he confirmed he received the add then I sent the payment and he confirmed that as well. As many ladies suggested, I printed out our payment.

IMHO, Venmo is safe, BUT vendors which take credit cards are FAR more likely to be established and not ghost you.
