Is uplighting worth it?

So my DJ just sent email about discounted uplighting because they're trying to fill up the slow dates. It would be $195 for 10 lights in whatever color I wanted. I called and talked to the guy and it sounded interesting, but I just don't know if it really matters that much. Any thoughts or advice?...

To do it through my florist would be $300, so if it is worth it I want to grab onto this deal.

I wouldn't do uplighting for your venue because I think it would detract from the gorgeous the stone walls and wood beams, but that's a personal preference Smiley smile . Love your venue!

Thanks so much! I might give my venue a call and see what their opinion is on uplighting.

Mine has similar colors to yours. These are two examples I found with and without uplighting, but I still find myself undecided on uplighting. I’m tempted to have it, but ask them to only turn it on when it starts to get dark to change the mood after dinner.

That is a beautiful venue and I love all those floor to ceiling windows. I would not do the uplighting because you have so many floor to ceiling windows - that is the "wow" factor of that room, plus the beams, stone and chandeliers.

GIRL. We went and toured Deer Creek last night and I like it so much- and more importantly, FH loves it!! We are going to hopefully go back later today to meet with the Event Coordinator again and plan on putting a deposit down for end of September! THANK YOU so much for sharing your photos and information, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. FH has been absolutely miserable for weeks trying to choose between a couple places that we had in mind, and I can't even begin to say how happy I am to see him happy! Thank you thank you thank you!
