Is this too small?

Karie, on August 16, 2017 at 2:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 41

Me and my FH got our rings this weekend and I got the same size wedding band as my engagement ring, assuming it would be the right size. I've been putting it on and I think it makes my finger kinda look like a stuffed sausage... pics in comments!

Yes, that looks a bit tight. Is it comfortable?

It does look tight. Can you get it resized? You want to make sure it won't cut off circulation in your finger

I haven't kept it on for very long, but it seems a little uncomfortable. They lady at the jewelers said it was fine, but I think it is a little to tight. I am just confused because she said it was the same size as my e-ring

It looks too small! maybe go up a half size. I'm kind of worried now because I ordered my bands the same size as my e-ring!

I can get it resized or return it within 90 days and get another size.

Traditionally the wedding band goes on first and the e-ring after (although you can wear them whatever way you choose). The 2nd ring on though is usually 1/2 size bigger since it sits on the finger at a different spot. Decide which way you're going to wear them and have the 2nd ring sized to fit.

They should be able to resize. Because of the shape of my fingers I had to have a little shaved off the inside of my wedding band.

I ordered my band the same size as my ering and it looked like a ring for ants when it came in. It was seriously so tiny. They made it a little over a quarter size bigger for me when they saw how ridiculous it was compared to my ring.

I say go have them resize.

I would have her double check the size on a mandrel(ring sizing tool.)

Rings should be snug but not overly so. It does look like a tight fit to me too.

Also take into account that fingers can swell up at a moment's notice too.

That band is pretty wide to order in the same size as your other ring....Generally very thin bands (1-2mm) can be done in the exact same size. When you start going wider, especially since adding it to the width of your engagement ring, you will likely have to go up some in size because it sits in a different place on your finger. For example--both my e-ring and band are 1.5mm and both a size 4.5, In some wider rings I could go up a half a size just to get it over my knuckle and not squeeze the meat on my finger. if it isn't comfortable, I'd size it up.

Looks too small, and doesn't look the same size as your e-ring. I'd resize, either half or full up. Try on a ring sizer at the store to see what you need.

I would say get it resized. I have two band that will eventually go around my engagement ring (sold as a set). I have one that is the same size as engagement ring and the outer one is a full size up because my finger get wider the closer you get to my knuckles.

Definitely resize it. I agree with pp that the width of the two rings dictates you need a little bigger size in one or the other.
