Is this rude?

My wedding was yesterday. I was completely clear with the wedding party that I didn't want them drinking until after the I Do's (1 or 2 mimosas) fine but, nothing crazy until the reception. My wedding was yesterday. I was completely clear with the wedding party that I didn't want them drinking until after the I Do's (1 or 2 mimosas) fine but, nothing crazy until the reception. Everyone followed the instructions except... Well, my matron of honor who has been a hand full from the word go apparently disregarded that message. She was walking around with a full cup of tequila wandering off during the rehearsal (which had to be postponed due to weather and flight cancelations), and only could be done day of wedding. The officiant, coordinator and photographer were extremely irritated by her behavior. The maid of honor ended up having to take over 90% of her duties. Anyway fast forward to the reception, after her "toast" she walks into the dressing room and comes out in a pajama onsie and has taken her hair down! Every other bridesmaid and groomsmen is still in full attire but her! (Mind you I purchased cute slippers for the ladies for the reception to be comfortable) She took 25 selfish, posted them on her fb page and said "and yes I did take off my dress and wig" pictures of the bride and groom I will post soon 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. My question was this rude or tacky of her?

I don't know if you can say it any way without causing drama. To be honest, I'm not sure the bride can dictate what the wedding party eats or drinks on the day of. Was the person usually like this? I'd let it go if you want to preserve the friendship.

    Congrats on the wedding!

Yes… that was very rude and immature behavior. If she was unwilling to participate and adhere to your request then she should have declined to participate either from the very beginning OR when you realized she was causing you more stress than joy; you could have asked her to “just be a guest”. Sorry to hear that she did not take your request of her (and the wedding party) to avoid drinking until the “I Do’s”. I’m hoping that others just ignored her behavior (but a onesie is hard to miss…ugh). … hoping your guests just admired your beauty and grace on your wedding day and showered you and your husband with love, laughter and wonderful memories! Congratulations on your wedding!!! Wishing you the best! 👏🏽😊

Congratulations on your wedding! And I would say her behavior was rude and disrespected your wishes on your wedding day. It was inconsiderate and I'd have a sit-down discussion with her on how you feel.

Rude and disrespectful but it sounds like the only one she made a fool of herself and no one thought anything bad about you - just her and her behaviour. Congratulations on your wedding - it sounds like it was fantastic so that's great - just hold on to those memories instead Smiley smile.
