Is this dress "Too Much" for a Wedding guest?

I am going to a wedding as a guest, I've received a few comments that this dress is "Too Much" or "Too Formal" as a guest, others have mentioned that it suits the occasion. It is a formal affair but not a black tie wedding. Please share your thoughts & opinions, thank you!

You definitely look amazing in it but if you honestly think about it... will it outshine the bride or bridesmaids? that's how I would figure it out...

It's very pretty for a formal, evening wedding. I see this on the top floor of a New York Hotel cosmopolitan affair. Don't wear it to a barn, trampy chic or Hawaiian wedding though.

You look very nice in it. Probably more formal than most of the guests will be but not you won't be like, overdressed or look weird or anything.

I love it and you look gorgeous. But I think I have the UO here. I would be a bit stressed if you wore it to my wedding, it's much showier and more formal than my wedding dress and much more so than my bridesmaids dresses. I would ask the bride to be sure she won't be salty when you show up. For a more formal wedding/black tie I would say it is perfect.
