Is this a good idea?

So I have been thinking about our first dance song and I have an idea and I want to know what you all think of it. So when I think of our first dance song, I want a song that reminds me of me and FH and that’s what I care about most. On the other hand, my FH is super insecure about dancing so he is extremely concerned about having a “danceable” song and thinks any romantic song is good as long as he can dance to it lol. I’m also SUPER indecisive and I know finding a song will be so difficult and I think it’s one of the more important decisions we have to make about our wedding.

So now to my idea. I was thinking about maybe me picking 10 songs or whatever amount, and sending them to FH and then having him pick 1 of the 10 as our first dance song. I wouldn’t know what he picked so when it starts to play on our wedding day it’d be a surprise! It helps me because I love sooo many songs already, and it helps him because he can really feel comfortable with the song. Is this a good idea? Or is a first dance song the type of thing a couple should decide together as a really special thing?
