Is there a cheat sheet for elopements somewhere?

There's multiple elopement websites that you can refer to that will have someone help you plan and they go over all the things they offer. You would still very much be able to customize it to how you want based on what they offer; depending on where you want to go and what site you look up. Depending on where you go, they can be pretty darn cheap too!

I never considered that there would be people who specialize in this, wow! Would be neat for people who hate planning and fuss.

We haven't used anyone or anything. We sat down together and talked things out, what we each wanted then I got my travel visa, we bought plane tickets and booked our accommodation. We see our day as a more important adventure together than usual We don't want a big fuss and with a lot of things, the best way to ensure things go as smoothy as they can is to handle things yourself.

Where are you and your SO planning on eloping to? Are you eloping somewhere within the US or are you traveling abroad?

You can absolutely hire a wedding planner that works specifically with eloping couples, or you could look into elopement companies that offer couples packages with everything included.

Alternatively again, you can plan it all yourself. This is a fun way of ensuring that you get the day exactly how you want it but you should feel confident that you can negotiate all of the legal marriage laws and documents needed for the state/country you are traveling to.
