Is the color too dark for March? 1
Would love some help!! Okay so this color for bridesmaids dresses caught my eye and I love another color as well to possibly go with this color but my fiancé’s mom seems to think it’s dark for March and yes while it’s not a typical March kinda color, I love it and I want that rustic look and feel. Not sure what I’ll pick yet but just want some ideas and honest answers other than people I know because it’s a beautiful color and everyone agrees but I just get answers that don’t help all that much

It’s a beautiful color & style! Colors aren’t really season-specific anymore. Choose any you wish.

Love it! You don’t have to consider colors “by season” anymore. Go for it!

Thank you! And very true I just have a mother in law that’s very traditional in some ways and I know nothing about weddings and she’s been in the suit and bridal business forever now so I always think she knows the new ways

Traditionally that would be a great October color, but that’s because it is a rustic color! If you want a rustic feel, that would be amazing! Also, you can always brighten it up a bit with white or yellow flowers like tulips, roses, or peonies. If you’re against flowers, you can do jars with fairy lights that give it that freshly caught lightening bug feel. I think it’s a great color

Is that Sienna at David’s? If so, we wore that for my sister’s wedding this past October. It looked great on everyone’s skin tones. If you’re concerned about it being “too dark” (which I don’t buy into at all as we’re having dark green be our main color this July), you could always lighten it up with blushes, ivories, and even navy (which would look amazing on the guys next to this dress). If you love it, go for it!

I love that color and I think you should do it if that’s the color you like. My wedding is in September and our colors are sky blue and yellow. Not at all what “normal “ September colors are

Well, you’ve come to to right place to bounce ideas. I do love that there are no longer so many rules about weddings. Have a wedding party, or don’t. Choose an R&B or pop song for your recessional song. Design the decor around any set of colors or patterns you wish. 🎉

Exactly! I agree, I don’t care much about the rules or if it’s traditional as long as my FH and I like it, is all that matters. Definitely just like opinions on some things before I make a choice. But thanks so much for the advice! 🤗

I did come here (and other places online) to check in on “etiquette rules” which I didn’t want to violate. Like I had no idea it’s rude to include registry info on invites.... that seems helpful for guests! Whew. Glad I checked. But I love how decor & experience details can really be customized so much more than in our parents’ generation.

    You’re welcome & happy planning!

I love that color! If you love it and that’s the color you want to you, then use it! Don’t let anyone else tell you what colors to select. It you & your fiancé’s wedding! No one else’s.

I don't think colors need to match with the season. That's a pretty color

I have asked a similar question since I have a fall wedding, but love neutral softer colors. Most of the people that responded to my post told me that you do not have to match colors to the season. Its your wedding Smiley smile

I'm getting married in March. My girls are wearing purple, real, pink, and blue. Rich colors are my thing. I dislike pastels.
While it does seem more fall to me, if you like it, go for it.
