Is My Ring Too Big? Or Am i Just Not Used To It?

Hi everyone!

I recently just got my wedding ring back after being resized and soldered to my engagement ring. My e-ring is a round halo and my wedding ring is an enhancer with two sides (hence why it was soldered). I’ve included a picture for reference.
Originally, my e-ring was a 5 1/4. I felt this was a good size, maybe even loose at times, but never falling off and definitely not tight. Given how large the whole ensemble is, the jeweler suggested we size everything to a 5 1/2 to make sure it wasn’t too tight. She measured me with a mens sizer to account for the thickness of the band and that’s what I measured at.
My concern is when I picked it up and tried it on, it felt loose. I did the shake test and it doesn’t slide off, and it does require a little tug to go over the knuckle when taking it off (but not a lot). It does move back and forth between the base of my finger and the knuckle though. When I look at the ring while it rests on my finger, there is a slight gap, but nothing crazy. I also can’t hold my fingers close together without the ring bulging. I’m not sure if it feels weird because of how large it is, or if it is actually a quarter size too large and I should have kept my original sizing. My e-ring has been resized twice at this point (once down and once up), but the wedding band has only gone down this one time. I don’t want to damage the rings by continuously resizing them.
So, have any of you had similar issues? Did you get used to your ring feeling loose? If I don’t get used to it, should I try to resize it again? Do I let it go and see if maybe I adjust or gain weight so that it fits? I’m so stressed because I love my rings but I don’t want to resent wearing them because they’re uncomfortable. That’s actually how mine fits as well (slides but doesn’t come off knuckle and has slight gap) and I had the same feelings about it. With the record heat and me getting back to a normal diet though, it’s been a better fit lately and is now even a little tougher to pull off over the knuckle. I got used to the feeling.

    Dang that is gorgeous

Your jeweler is absolutely right. When you stack, your fingers swell, so you need to size up. I'd leave it be for a while

Your ring set is large and does bulge, but I think eventually with some time you will get adjusted to it. Mine does not take up as much space on my finger, but it does have the space to move back and forth, which is good. So it sounds as though it did get sized correctly for you, and it looks beautiful!

My ring fits similarly. It slides and I can easily pull it off with a little effort. It fits differently depending on if it’s cold out or I’m in air conditioning, or in the heat. I’ve also been losing weight which doesn’t help lol. The plan is to buy a cheap ring to put on the end that fits better and has a similar vibe to my wedding band and engagement ring to wear in winter to make me feel less worried about it coming off. But yeah you get used to it

My ring is the exact same fitting, and I got used to it! It's been a little over a year and it doesn't bother me anymore!
