Is my flower budget unrealistic?

I used Sam's club, I got a wedding package plus some bulk flowers. I paid around $800 for everything. I posted a review about a month ago if you want more details.

I know what industry standards bear, so I'd suggest you accept $1K as your budget. Your budget for your personal flowers (those displayed on or carried by the couple and their VIPs) is not unrealistic.

Ten centerpieces? Hmmm...yes, I could probably do that for you -- but that's me -- I don't even know where you live -- if you were okay with supplying small vases and allowing us to fill them with Baby's Breath, white carnations (and carnations are not your mother's prom carnations anymore), a few stems of greenery, and maybe a stem of white spray roses in each centerpiece (when I have a budget client, I will check the wholesaler's freezer for what we call working flowers -- deeply discounted -- but I refuse to present anything to a bride that I don't want my name attached to. It's more of a florist's choice kind of deal when it comes to the small centerpieces -- what can I get you, on site, that isn't going to break your budget) -- but nothing more elaborate than that -- and as I said, the vases/containers would be your responsibility.

I'd assume your local vendor could do something like for you. Maybe they'll ask for you for an extra hundred, but it can be done. Remember, not elaborate -- but pretty and professional.

We are having almost the same order (bride bouquet, 2bm bouquets, 5 boutonnieres, and 10 small simple centerpieces for vases that we already have/got at IKEA for $2each). Totally depends on your area, but I was dreading calling florists in fear of how much it would cost, and it ended up being only $350. We are getting married in rural Maryland, but the florist has great reviews.

That's basically what we got quoted on - $1200 without tax and delivery.

I'm going with Sam's club, ultimately it was the best bang for my buck. My best friend is going to take the day they are delivered off and we are unpacking them together

I had almost the same florals and amount you are describing (besides blush instead of white) and mine was about 1300$ I believe. We were in suburbs of Phoenix. Our florist was super great about working with our budget and being honest with me with what things I was saying would drive up the cost and more inexpensive alternatives !

My flower budget is $200. I am doing diy bouquets and single buds for reception tables.

I'm doing real flowers for the bouquets and bouts and corsages, centerpieces will be artificial.

I don't think that your budget is unrealistic, but it DOES depend on your area.

For reference, I was in a wedding in May, and the bride got her flowers from Wegmans (a grocery store chain up in the Northeast for those who live elsewhere), and they were AMAZING. She was looking for something very organic (and wasn't picky about which flowers).

They got two hanging plants (to define the alter for their outdoor ceremony), her bouquet shown in the picture, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 2 sets of flower girl pedals, 2 corsages and 3 bouts for about $500.

You could easily do bud vases in varying heights on each table (3 or so). Check out kukka flowers, they sell pre-designed packages of flowers for you to diy. Make sure you watch videos on making bouquets before to see if you're comfortable enough or not.

It's doable, you have to just do some research. I found a great florist that is charging $550 for my whole wedding. However, I received several quotes prior to her for several thousand!

I want to say it just depends on the style you're going for. We went with very simple. We saved $150 by opting out of delivery and set up.

Check out The Bouqs as well. They have pre-arranged flowers that are a little more stylish and modern than Sams. They just started offering pre-arranged flowers this year. I would have used them but I had already paid my deposit for my florist.
