Is my favor idea tacky ? Please be honest

I was in Walmart yesterday and seen these mini Sutter Home Wine bottles for a buck . Then it came to me that I could do these and add a piece of chocolate and put both in a sachet bag . and tie with a ribbon . Also, if I do decided to do these would I do 1 per guest or 1 per family ?

Sutter Home is definitely a cheap brand so make sure you replace the label (HA) but I would love it. Then again, I might be an alcoholic so...... lol

Not tacky but definitely make your own labels - Also talk to your venue some venues allow NO alcohol even for favors....Be careful.

Love the idea..I agree with adding a personalized label to make it stand out. I wpuld do one per guest. Iam doing one favor per family because I am doing a mason jar filled with all the ingridients to make my favorite homemade cookies. It also serves as my table settings. The label on the lid says thank you, front label says the family name and table number and the hanging tag with the recipe and directions.

Ignore the brand bashers. I have had these on more than one occasion and although they are not top of the line wines, each one is only ONE GLASS. if your guests truly doesn't like the brand, it's not like they're missing out on a whole bottle, the few that are too good for one glass of cheap wine will eat the chocolate and forget the wine was even included.

I love the idea and don't think it's tacky at all. its cute, it's personal and it's fun! good luck!

If you think your guests may be label picky, coming up with your own label sounds like a great idea that also allows for personalization.

Well isn't the point of the favor to be a reminder of the special day?? With that being said I think it's a very neat idea along with the custom labels(maybe even photo labels). Most people keep them as a keepsake anyway so the type of wine should be what u feel is in your price range.

I like the idea. Changing the label is a good idea, but I would drink mine and possibly anyone that left theirs behind ahahhaha!

It's cute, and if your crowd likes wine and isn't picky it will go over really well. Definitely make your personalized labels to add a nice touch.

I think it depends on your guests... My fiance and I had (too many) margaritas the first night we ever hung out. We are giving out mini bottles of margaritas with a tag that says thank you, date, and names on one side and on the other side will say something like ...because no great story ever started with someone eating a salad.

    Definitely one per guest.

That's a cute idea. We went to wedding last year where they did something similar. Try creating labels for the bottles. It's not that hard, and it's cheap.

I think if you are big wine fans, this is a cute idea. I also love the suggestion of making your own labels- I think that would really personalize this favor! You should do one per adult (21+) guest.

One per guest on something that small since there is only one glass of wine in a bottle that size. Adding a chocolate is a great idea as well. You could do mini sparkling cider bottles for the kids. Both should have a personalized label with your theme or even a photo. You can even use them as table place cards. You can check out my website if you want to get some ideas. Let me know if I can give you any tips or pointers if you decide to DIY.

No it is not tacky. I would also do one per guest and do only candy bags for the non-drinkers and kids. I would cover up the Sutter Home name with a personal label (like some of the other post stated).
