Is my dress too simple?

I don't have a "traditional" wedding dress. It's a cotton dress that I found on the clearance rack at my local Sears on a whim. It cost $25.00!! I was shopping with my mom at the time and when I tried it on and showed her it took her breath away. My dad thinks this dress is also the one. I love it but I worry about it because it is a cotton dress. It doesn't have a train but I purchased a beautiful veil for it and a belt that adds to it.

We are having a very small intimate wedding (maybe 15 people tops) at a local conservatory. I think the floral motif of the dress matches that completely. I don't know what it is but I worry about the fact that it is a cotton dress. I have debated on adding some lace or sequins to it but my parents said it is perfect and beautiful as is. They said it's very elegant.

I like the dress itself but maybe not the styling of it? It’s a cute dress, I actually love the pattern but I think it would look better with more floral accessories. A non-blingy floral belt and a veil with something quieter like pearls or even floral embellishment and a flower in your hair. You don’t have to have a big lavish gown to be a bride at all! Hun my first pick of a wedding dress was a $30 pink ballgown my mom bought for me at a thrift store. I would’ve worn it if the length wasn’t too short. I absolutely loved that dress.

You look very happy in it and that is what matters. It seems very fitting for your wedding as well! Try not to get stuck in comparing to other weddings, everyone is different and everyone has different visions for their day!

As long as you lie it and your happy. My parents told me when you know you know. Us your gut or heart but less brain. Don’t over think too much it will just cause unnecessary stress.
