Is it worth it to have a videographer?

Julia, on April 26, 2021 at 1:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
I’m torn between just having a photographer or getting a package with a videographer as well. Is it worth it to have one?

This is an extremely common question here on WW. I have linked a couple recent discussions on the topic that may help Smiley smile

I think it really depends on if you plan on watching it. It was something I really wanted when we got married, but my husband didn't care as much. We had the extra money in the budget to hire a videographer so we did. We watched it when we first got it and on our one year wedding anniversary and plan on watching every anniversary. I am currently pregnant (being induced tonight) with our first child and I can't to show the video of her mommy and daddy getting married to her.

I personally watch mine a lot because it's easier watching a three minute video vs combing through hundreds of photos. but it really depends on what your budget is as well. if you don't have much budget left for it then having photos is sufficient only.

YES! Worth every penny! Our wedding videos are my favorite thing we took away from our day (besides being married, of course). Photos are great, but videos capture life, sounds, and movement that you just cant get in photos. We watch our wedding videos often, and have agreed that we will watch every year for our anniversary. If I had to do it over again, I would still hire a videographer.

Video is SO worth it. We almost didnt have one and I am SO glad I changed my mind last minute and got one. Video captures the day in a way photos just can't. It brings back the emotions of the day and allows you to relive it all over again. At the time I was worried it was too expensive but in hindsight I would've paid double if I had to for that video lol. It's priceless.
