Is it too late to get a dress?

How far in advance are you supposed to find a wedding dress? My wedding is July 4th, but I will be going dress shopping for the first time next Saturday. So that will leave about 35 days of cushion time between my wedding. Do you think that's enough time to pick a dress and have it tailored or...

How far in advance are you supposed to find a wedding dress? My wedding is July 4th, but I will be going dress shopping for the first time next Saturday. So that will leave about 35 days of cushion time between my wedding.

Do you think that's enough time to pick a dress and have it tailored or fitted correctly? Or do you think I should just try to find something off the rack? I'm a size 2 so I'm not sure how easy that would be. I have no idea where would be the best place to go. Definitely not trying to spend a fortune.

    You can certainly find a dress and get it altered to fit you perfectly within that time frame! One thing I would keep in mind however, would be to go get fitted for a dress at a bridal boutique. When I purchased mine, I was SHOCKED at the size difference from what I usually wear. The woman who measured me kindly told me that wedding dresses are not sized like clothes today. They are still sized like clothes were 40-50 years ago. So don't let it freak you out if you are a size 2 in normal every day clothes and you aren't in a wedding dress! Get sized so you know exactly what to look for Smiley smile Good luck!!!

    Nope...Im 65 Days out and have yet to offically order my dress!!! Smiley smileSmiley smile It's never to late lol

    Also there is the brides against cancer that have events in various cities..not sure where you live but you can check that out or as PP have said check out daivds bridal
