Is it stupid to have a photographer for a smaller bridal shower?

Earlier in the month I met with a MUA and photographer for my upcoming bridal shower. My step-cousin is getting married the day of my shower (I had no idea he was getting married this year) which means my stepmom and her 4 family members won't be there for mine. Since the list know looks like it...

Earlier in the month I met with a MUA and photographer for my upcoming bridal shower. My step-cousin is getting married the day of my shower (I had no idea he was getting married this year) which means my stepmom and her 4 family members won't be there for mine. Since the list know looks like it could be 15-20 people is it stupid to have one still? The pros I can think of are having memories, individual photos of the women I love and me, and a group shot of me and my bridesmaids as there is not one of all of us. Would you still carry on with the photography or cancel?

    Absolutely do it if you want it and have the means for it. I've never photographed a bridal shower, but I've done baby showers.

    I got my makeup done for my bridal shower since I knew there would be tons of pictures . Totally worth it. One of my bridesmaids took on the role of photographer and I was really happy she did. I bet you could find a friend of a friend or someone on thumbtack

    Thanks everyone. I am okay with working it in my budget. I am getting a great price for both services. I personally do not wear much makeup or put my hair in any special style so for special events I do want to have a professional do my hair and make up. I did talk with one of my besties who is organizing the shower and she said as long as its not costly I should do it because it seems I really want to, and I do. It stinks my stepmom won't be there but I'll make sure to have one of just us at the wedding.

    No its not stupid and I will be doing both for my bridal shower in a couple of weeks, so I say go for it.
