Is it possibly to only spend 5,000?

I really wanted to have a super small 50 people max wedding. However when I get to the venues most of them all start around 10k. Which is still really good. I fell in love with a venue in Florida and it cost $12,500. I thought that was a really good price because they pretty much set up and plan...

I fell in love with a venue in Florida and it cost $12,500. I thought that was a really good price because they pretty much set up and plan everything. Food, cake and open bar included. But my mom keeps complaining about the price and keeps making me feel bad because I want to have a beautiful wedding. I just feel like giving up and not having a wedding at all and just going to the court house.

If you're already looking to travel, come to Colorado xD. I'm throwing a CO Mountain wedding in Rocky Mountain National Park for about $5,000. The permit to get married in the park is $250, and if you go simple on the rest it's easy to keep costs down. The best part? The park doesn't allow ANY decorations, so the only ceremony cost is the permit and transportation (since they only allow a max of 10 cars), and bringing a chair for guests who might require one (elderly, pregnant, disabled, etc)

Its definitely possible. I'm part of a budget bride Facebook group. You should check to see if there are any in your area. They're really helpful and it has all the vendors that are willing to work with a smaller budget in one place!

Definitely possible. Try looking at spaces in Peerspace. It's a website for venues/events and it might be a lot cheaper but catering is not always included. Save money by DYIing things, TheSorryGirls on youtube make beautiful things and they have a wedding edition! If you can't afford a photographer, have your guests do the work. Have some disposable cameras around and ask them to use them and leave them at their tables or something. Each roll will be $11-$15 to develop so it might get pricey but not as much as a professional photographer. You can do the same with you and your partner.

Yes, in the Tampa/Clearwater area you can charter the Calypso Queen or Calypso Breeze Riverboats and have a fun 2.5 hour evening reception including a tropical buffet, beer/wine/rum punch/soda, and DJ services for 100 guests (no wedding cake, bring your own and they will cut for free. Publix grocery store is a good place to get a cake). = $4840. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 100 THERE IS A CHARTER FEE, SO IT SEEMS TO WORK OUT BEST TO JUST PAY FOR 100 AND HAVE MORE FOOD AS THE FEE PRETTY MUCH BRINGS IT UP TO AROUND THE SAME PRICE.

If you'd like to get married by the Captain on the top deck prior to sailing cost is $428.

I believe there are also gratuities and/or a service fee that will be added.

www.starlitecruises.com to download their wedding brochures.

***They also have yacht type boats to charter, but, the price is higher than the riverboat.

I haven't attended an onboard wedding, but, we do take visiting friends on the lunchtime riverboat cruise.

***I HAVE NO VESTED INTEREST IN THIS COMPANY, JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD DEAL IN THE FUTURE IF ONE OF OUR KIDS WANTED TO GET MARRIED ON IT***
