Is It Possible to Get Ready In An Hour?

Disney Lover, on April 27, 2017 at 7:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 32

Our venue will let us use the bridal suite for one hour before the event, but I don't know if it's even possible for all of us to get ready that fast. Any suggestions?

Yikes! There's no way we would be able to, but You could get mostly ready somewhere else, hair and makeup and then get into your dress at the venue maybe.

Hair and make up can possibly take up to an hour and half especially if your hiring someone. You don't want to rush, especially on your big day, it will cause you more stress than you want.

See if you can get an additional hour or so or like More said do your major things elsewhere and get in your dress and final touches there.

FH & I are booking our bridal suite for the night before the wedding and the night of. This way we don't have to worry about not having the room at a certain time when we need it.

Yeah, I'd say have hair and/or makeup done beforehand, then just final prep in the suite.

    Heck no!

I would get hair/makeup done before and maybe you could just change into your dress there and have "getting ready" photos done there if you want them.

I would recommend doing hair and makeup before you get to the venue and use the hour to put on attire and jewelry. We had 9 of us getting our hair done (and 4 of those also using the MUA) and it took from 9am-12:45pm.

I've hired my H&MUA for a few hours before the wedding. They've left 30 mins for makeup per person & 30-40 mins for hair per person. H&MU will always take longer for the bride. I'd suggest you do your H&MU at someone's home or a hotel & do finishing touches (dress & veil) at the venue for pictures.

I agree with pp, get ready before and use the suite for dress and accessories. An hour is definitely not enough time!

It takes me 90 minutes to get ready for work.

I had the same issue so what I did was had my makeup completely done and hair almost done before I got to the venue. I used the hour to touch up my makeup and hair and then get dressed.

If all you're doing is putting on your dress then yes, totally. Hair and makeup will need to be done way before

We have about the same time in the suite before the ceremony, so we're going to get ready at my mom's house earlier then get dressed at the venue later.

Agreed with PP. If you are just putting on your dress you should be okay, but hair and makeup should be done before then.

If you're hiring professionals they will tell you an hour is like a blink of an eye. My hair and makeup tutorial was 3 hours. I would have your hair and makeup done and for the last hour I would have that time to put on your dress and take pictures with your bridemaids.

I'm not sure how many people you have getting ready, but I would be afraid 1 hour is not enough time. I'm staying in a hotel the night before my wedding and will be getting ready with the girls there. I'll just get dressed and do any final touches at the actual venue.

I can get ready for anything fast- 15 min and out the door- but for my wedding? Nope no way- I plan to chill out take my time- I'm not having a wedding party so it's just me and an hour would be too short

I asked for an extra hour to get ready and had to pay an extra fee but did so so I could have hair and makeup done there. One hour will be fine if you are just getting dressed

I'm in the same situation time wise. I'm getting ready at my parents house with my BMs (pro hair and makeup) and then we are driving to the venue to dress

No, that's not possible. You get hair and makeup done elsewhere (hotel suite, most likely) and you can get dressed at your venue.

That's only if you don't plan on a first look - you will need to be at your venue and "hidden" at least 30 mins. before your ceremony. In that case, get dressed at the hotel too.
